What are the advantages of a gearbox drive pump over a direct drive unit?

A PA gearbox reduces the operating speed of the Comet pump from 3600 RPM down to 1450 RPM. Running the pump at lower RPM dramatically reduces internal heat, vibration, and seal wear, resulting in a much longer operating lifespan.

Does this Honda GX390 pump combo come with electric start?

Yes. The unit features key electric start capability (with recoil back-up) and comes complete with a battery and heavy-duty battery leads included.

Is the fuel tank included with this skid unit?

The fuel tank is not included as standard with the bare mounting plate build, allowing custom plumbing to external fuel tanks; however, fuel tank packages are available as an optional add-on.

Is this pump unit ready to use out of the box?

Yes. The combo is supplied fully assembled, plumbed with unloader and safety valves, wire-connected, and factory run-tested on its heavy-duty aluminium base plate before delivery.
